Eagles Making Moves and Hosting Free Agents
By. Kevin Kee

There was a WR signing today that really left me questioning the Eagles. They signed Air Force star Chad Hall to a 3 year contract. This move had me thinking is this guy just going to be a practice squad-er or will he play for the Eagles in a 5th WR and a kick returner. Remember a few years ago the Eagles rolled the dice on a returner by the name of Jeremy Bloom that never worked out, but something gives me the hunch this 5'8 180 lb guy can play the game, and be successful. Since the move I have been "tweeting" with Adam Caplan he first told me that Hall would most likely be a practice squad-er, but then later on he told me he "talked to a source tonight who said his workout for the team was phenomenal, BTW". I am recently new to Twitter but have quickly come to trust Caplan and his sources and I think this guy might pan out as a good returner for us this season and if not the Eagles did tender Elis Hobbs who did a great job for them, up til injury, on the returns.

Eagles also announced tonight they are bringing in two free agents, one very well known in Philly and the other is a former Raider. The Eagles are hosting WR Hank Baskett and HB Justin Fargas. Fargas reportedly failed a physical for the Raiders and that is why they cut him, he denied this report. Fargas would be a good complimentary back to McCoy and should definitely get carries if he is signed. He is meeting with the Philly media tomorrow at 1:30 pm. Hank Baskett, on the other hand, is coming in to Philly hoping for his second stint with the team after he was released before the season. Hank would be a 4th/5th WR for the Eagles and has done a good job on special teams for them. Hank will most likely be re-signed and is meeting with the Philly media tomorrow at 11 am.

There is also another report out the
LaDainian Tomlinson may come in for a visit if he leaves the Jets without a contract. Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer denies this reports and says LT will not be visiting.

The Eagles have also been reportedly interested in a RESTRICTED Free Agent, DE Ray Edwards. Edwards has been tendered by the Vikings at a 1ST ROUND DRAFT CHOICE. The only way I can see this signing happening is if the Eagles trade Donovan McNabb for a first round pick and get rid of their pick for Ray Edwards.

As always we will continue to keep you posted on the latest Eagles news!
