Eagles/Giants Preview
By Kevin K

Eagles: 1-1
Giants: 1-1
Line: Eagles by 9

The Eagles enter Week Three as heavy favorites against rival New York Giants. There has been trash talk back and forth all week, but one thing remains .... backing up your talk.

Giants safety, Antrel Rolle, is the lead in all of this trash talk saying that he has covered DeSean Jackson in the past and will do it again.

And of course there was the constant trash talk over the summer between LeSean McCoy and Osi Umenyoira (who is out today).

The Giants are missing most of their weapons today against the Eagles, including their trash talkers; but this doesn't mean to take them lightly. This is a rivalry game. All teams are coming in heated and ready to go.

The Eagles must learn how to stop the run and the tight end, a true weakness that was exposed against the Falcons a week ago. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a key target for the Giants throughout the game.

The Eagles did make a change to look to stop that this week in changing up the Linebacking core.

The Eagles are very high powered against a depleted Giants team today. Look for Steve Smith to get more involved for the Eagles against his former team.

Prediction:

Against the Line: I would go with the Giants. In this rivalry game, the underdog is 9-2 against the spread.

Game: Take the Eagles in the game overall. This game should be closer than many people think.

Moment 4: (Another) Miracle at the Meadowlands
By Kevin K

On Sunday, December 19ththe Miracle occured. For three quarters of the football game the Eagles were getting outplayed and beat. During that time with missed challenges, and bad play the Eagles seemed down and out.

With eight minutes to go in the game, all hope seemed lost as the Eagles went down 21 points. Quickly, Michael Vick's 65 yard Touchdown pass to TE Brent Celek cut the score to 14. Then a timely on sides kick (a great one) by David Akers got the Eagles the ball back.

Vick took control. Vick run after run, pass after pass, lead the Eagles down field and ran the ball in to cut the lead to 7.

Eagles defense then stepped up and shut down the Giants offense to give the Eagles an opportunity to tie it with 3:01 to go in the game. Vick was tremendous taking the ball in his own hands down field. Vick then completed a 13 yard touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin (his second of the game) to tie the game.

The Eagles defense took charge after that and took the Giants offense out again, leaving the clock to run down to 14 seconds remaining in the game with Jackson set to return the punt.

Jackson bobbled the punt only to pick it up and take off. Jackson broke free to the endzone and won it for the Eagles with NO TIME LEFT!

The Eagles came back down 21 with 8 minutes to go, scored 28 points and won the game 38-31 in a game that all Eagles fans will be talking about forever.

Herm Edwards, Brian Westbrook, and now down 21 points with eight minutes to go in the fourth quarter and the Eagles comeback and win .... truly miraculous.

Eagles/Giants Preview
By Carl Naimoli

The 9-4 Philadelphia Eagles head into the Meadowlands to face the 9-4 New York Giants in a battle for the division lead in the NFC East. If the Eagles win they will own the tiebreaker against the Giants after their 27-17 victory in Philadelphia on Nov. 21.

This matchup has been one-sided as of late, as the Eagles have won five consecutive games against their division rivals. This is actually the first time in the rivalry that the winner of this game will gain the division lead this late into the season. Also, both teams are very hot with the Giants winning their last three games and the Eagles winning 5 of their last 6 games.

For the Giants they come into this game boasting the leagues top running game with 148.1 yards a game, behind the duo of Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw. Furthermore the Giants will stick to their running game because they have lost receiver Steve Smith for the season, but the last time they played the Eagles they were only able to muster a season low 61 rushing yards. It wasn't much better for the Giants passing game as Eli Manning threw 3 interceptions along with one key fumble that won the game for the Eagles.

For the Eagles they head into this game with the top offense in the NFL averaging 402.8 yards a game. Their offense is clicking on all cylinders, but they are going to have to play this week dealing with a lot of injuries. DeSean Jackson is listed as questionable but still expects to play, along with Asante Samuel who has missed the past three games, so he will add a boost to their defense. But it is the loss of Stewart Bradley that will affect the Eagles this week. Bradley will miss the rest of the regular season with a dislocated elbow and rookie 7th round draft pick, Jamar Chaney will start in his place.

Keys: The key to this game for the Eagles is to try to slow down the Giants rushing attack while not forgetting about the Giants passing game and receiver Hakeem Nicks who averages 81.5 yards a game. If the Eagles offense continues the way it has they will be unstoppable and will be able to make up for the injuries on defense.

Prediction: Even though the Eagles are 2.5 point underdogs that is not going to stop me from picking them to win this game. I'm sure the Giants offense will be on top of its' game this week but they don't have enough to stop the Eagles potent offense. I think it will be 33-30 Eagles.

Eagles/Giants Preview
By Carl Naimoli

The 6-3 Philadelphia Eagles host the 6-3 New York Giants on Sunday night in a battle for the top spot in the NFC East. The Eagles are coming in off a blowout win against the division rival, Washington Redskins. The Giants are coming in on the opposite side of the spectrum. They got trounced last week by the lowly Dallas Cowboys at home. To make matters worse for the Giants, the Eagles have won their last four head to head games.

Michael Vick looks to continue his hot streak and extend his league-leading 115.1 passer rating against a team that is only giving up 270.2 yards a game, which is best in the NFL. His opponent Eli Manning is looking to rebound after his poor game against the Cowboys. However he will be without one of his top receivers for the second straight week in Steve Smith. He does have the second best running game in the NFC to fall back on, but on the other side the Eagles boast an even better running game which ranks first in the NFC.

Eagles Key: Stop the run and continue the big plays. If the Eagles can slow down Ahmad Bradshaw and continue to use Michael Vick's legs and arm it should be another victory for the birds.

Prediction: Even though the Giants have one of the best defenses in the league I fully expect Michael Vick to keep his hot streak going. Although I'm sure he won't be as successful as he was last week against the Redskins I am sure he will do enough to win this game for the Eagles. My prediction is 30-24 Eagles, I think the Eagles do enough to cover the 3 point spread at home and Michael Vick continues to make his case for league MVP.
